ESCA successfully initiated the new member kick-off and orientation evening on the Erasmus campus. The milestone gathering was designed to welcome our newly recruited cohort of active members into their designated operational committees and align everyone with the association's strategic roadmap. The itinerary commenced with a comprehensive presentation led by the ESCA's board members, who shared a technical retrospective on the history of the association, clarified core mission, and outlined the major corporate engagements planned for the upcoming months. The core of the event focused heavily on cross-functional alignment. The board introduced our specialized team of research consultants, detailing their analytical backgrounds and presenting the methodologies behind our current live corporate consulting projects. Following these presentations, the evening transitioned into a peer-to-peer engagement session. New committee members participated in collaborative discussions before concluding the evening with a dinner. This collective networking environment allowed members to establish strong working dynamics, integrate across committees, and solidify their commitment to shaping the future of the supply chain network.

FMCG & SUPPLY CHAIN CONSULTANCY PARTNERS
ESCA successfully organised an interactive in- house day and consulting workshop in collaboration with Innocent drinks and XTR Operations at "The Blender" factory located in the Rotterdam Europoort. The engagement targeted Master's students specializing in Supply Chain Management and Operations, focusing on how cutting-edge sustainable infrastructure intersects with specialized continuous improvement consulting. The session initiated with a comprehensive analysis of innocent drinks' corporate vision and sustainability milestones. De Blender serves as an all-electric, carbon-neutral blueprint for global manufacturing powered entirely by renewable energy. The briefing included a technical deep-dive into end-to-end supply chain processes and digital technology implementations required to secure an outstanding 98% service level. To bridge the gap between theory and execution, students were introduced to the firm's people-centric workforce culture before clearing safety protocols and putting on industrial personal protective equipment for a state-of-the-art factory floor tour. Participants analyzed the real-time planning, automated sorting networks, and operational constraints running inside the highly optimized facility. The second half of the day transitioned into a strategic consulting session hosted by professionals from XTR Operations. The consultancy team demonstrated how Continuous Improvement, lean methodologies, and hands-on project management optimize business performance and solve complex operational bottlenecks for multinationals. Following a busy kickoff month of recruitment and committee planning, we decided to shift the focus away from spreadsheets and strategy decks for a night. In mid-September, the entire ESCA crew, including all of our active committee members and the board, headed out to the bowling alley for a completely relaxed team-building social. The goal was simple: bring everyone together in a casual environment to actually get to know each other outside of meeting rooms and lecture halls. Instead of structured networking, the evening was all about friendly competition and team bonding. We split up into mixed lanes so members from marketing, events, and research consulting could mingle, share a few laughs, and figure out who on the team actually knows how to bowl. Taking the time to connect over a casual game like this went a long way in breaking the ice across different cohorts. By the end of the night, the lanes definitely helped turn a group of newly recruited individuals into a tight-knit team, setting up a great internal culture and strong working relationships for the rest of the academic year.

The core of the event focused heavily on the mechanics of integrated business planning. An expert industry practitioner guided participants through the structured steps of managing inventory targets, cross-functional demand planning, and the analytical skills needed to navigate supply chain disruptions.
